LAEF Receives Prestigious Julie & Spencer Penrose Award for Outstanding Non-Profit

 

The Latin American Educational Foundation was selected as the winner of the prestigious Julie and Spencer Penrose Award for Outstanding Non-Profit for 2004.  On behalf of the Trustees of El Pomar Foundation and the 2004 Awards for Excellence Selection Commission, LAEF was thanked and honored for its "enterprising work and dedication in all that LAEF does for the citizens of Colorado."

Founded in 1949 , LAEF has established itself as a leader in meeting the higher education needs of Hispanic students through scholarships and support programs. To date, the organization has awarded more than 4,500 scholarships to deserving scholars.

LAEF is a 501c(3) non-profit corporation and generates its funding from corporations, foundations and individual contributors.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR GALA 2006

The date has been set!  Please mark your calendars for Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the Adams Mark Hotel for LAEF's Annual Gala.  This year's headliner will be the inspirational and legendary classical Flamenco Guitarist, Comedian and Movie Star - "CHARO"  Most recently on VH1's "The Surreal Life," Charo will bring her charisma and charm to entertain and delight the crowd at this year's event.  Please check back for additional entertainment and programs scheduled.
